Target Field Weather: Twins Opening Day Forecast 2013

Tomorrow the boys of summer start their 2013 season. Mother Nature didn’t get the memo.  After a cold front moving through today, temperatures will struggle to get above freezing tomorrow afternoon for the Twins’ home opener.  At first pitch (3pm), the National Weather Service is predicting a temperature around 33 degrees with winds out of the northwest around 10-15mph that will make it feel close to 20 degrees.  Although the Twins have Tuesday off, it looks like they’re going to play on since precipitation won’t be in the forecast.  Have fun if you’re going to the game.  I’ll be there on Wednesday with slightly less shitty weather.

Here’s a look at the large-scale wind direction for most of the game in relation to the seating.  There’s plenty of stadium-scale swirls but I hope you’re not sitting in RF tomorrow.

33ish and windy on Monday.
