Giving a Twins Nickname to Tsuyoshi Nishioka

**********UPDATE

As you can see below, the nickname of choice was “Yoshi”.  However, the only nickname that matters is the one that Gardy gives him and that nickname has been “Neeshy”.  He’s used that nickname in multiple instances this winter so I guess it has been decided.  Welcome to the club Neeshy.

I will take Joe Mauer's soul if he will not give up #7.

The Twins finally decided to go shopping on Black Friday and secured negotiating rights to Japanese infielder Tsuyoshi Nishioka. They have yet to sign him to a contract and even more importantly, the Twins have yet to give him a ‘Twinsy’ nickname. If you’ve followed the Twins for a minimum of one week you already know the approach of skipper Ron Gardenhire when it comes to assigning nicknames. All you have to do is work in a (phonetically speaking) “y” to anyone’s name. That’s how we now have “Nicky (Punto)”, “Blackie (Blackburn)”, “Casillayee”, etc. Since Gardy has yet to release an official nickname I thought it would be fun to offer some ideas and let people vote for the nickname they believe Gardy will slap on Nishioka. (Remember the Twins have yet to sign him, just having fun)
